New Rose’s Garden Shop Celebrates Open House November 2 in North Asheville
ASHEVILLE, NC, Oct 18, 2013 (POLKADOTSOCIAL.COM) — Long recognized for architectural splendor and upscale style, the historic Albemarle Park and Grove Park neighborhoods of North Asheville are poised to celebrate the addition of a unique garden shop. Rose’s Garden Shop invites Asheville to sample its exclusive mix of unusual plants, vintage decorative items, and gardening supplies at its open house in two weeks.
Rose Bartlett, former garden designer and author of the forthcoming Bartletts’ Encyclopedia of Garden Elements, is pleased to share her 25 years of specialized experience with Asheville residents and guests seeking inspiration and treasures from her Asheville shop and gallery.
“My passion for uncommon indoor and outdoor plants, vintage and handcrafted aesthetics, and architecture offers local gardeners a fresh take on design,” says Rose. “I worked with architect Jane Mathews, AIA to restore my home and gallery, a historic property on Charlotte Street. Visitors tell me the light-filled gallery, elegant stonework and framed garden imagery captured in my travels around the globe inspire them to create similar beauty in their surroundings.”
Rose’s Garden Shop answers North Asheville’s need for a locally-sourced, close-in garden shop and gallery that inspires in all seasons. “Before choosing Asheville four years ago, I spent 25 years designing in Washington D.C. I understand the need for creative container gardens that showcase nature’s beauty for homes and offices, indoors and out, in all seasons.”
Rose welcomes gardeners, plant lovers, designers and all purveyors of beauty to the open house on Saturday, November 2 from 11 am to 4 pm at 211 Charlotte Street in Asheville. Refreshments will be served.
