Ajani Eagledove is grateful for PolkaDot Social’s targeted Facebook campaign that resulted in a near sell-out of freshly-arrived, 2 day-old chicks this weekend.
The owner of Eagledove Greenhouse and Garden Center along with wife Mayo reported that over 75% of the chicks arriving Friday were sold by closing time Saturday, with most customers sharing that they learned of the new chicks on the business’ Facebook page.
“Really, I wasn’t sure we would sell all these late-season chicks,” shared a smiling Ajani. “I’m amazed at how many families came in ready to buy today, saying they heard about our chicks on Facebook. We even sold the two birds left from our last chick shipment, and I thought at this point I would have to keep those through the winter.”
PolkaDot Social’s strategy involved a photography session, custom-edited imagery, and informational posts about the unusual breeds published over a weighted 24-hour period. Cross-posting placed this material on the screens of targeted buyers who had not yet discovered Eagledove’s Facebook page, resulting in sales as well as several newly engaged fans.
PolkaDot’s Danise Hauser sums it up this way:
“We help small businesses thrive by delivering imagery-based messages to a targeted demographic. Building community and increasing sales is what we do.”
